I was shocked when our parents told us how many people are left homeless and sleep rough without any family or friends to help them. So we wanted to do our bit. When I leave school, I plan on continuing the work we have started with Bag a Smile and our thoughtful bags of happiness.

Like my brother and sister its hard to think that in this day and age there are so many people forgotten about to fend for themselves on the streets. I can't even imagine what it must be like to sleep in the open with nothing but a thin sleeping bag to protect you from the elements. If my smile can help just one of these unfortute individuals that would be enough.

It really worried me when we saw these people living on the street and it took me a while to understand how they had ended up there. We are so lucky to have a home to return to after school and a warm dinner waiting for us. Everyone deserves a little happiness, so our Bag a Smile will hopefully bring some to those who need it the most.
